Helvetas Nepal is a Swiss
non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the
living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.
Integrated Water Resources Management
(IWRM) Programme of /Helvetas Nepal is supporting initiatives by local
communities, organizations and Government of Nepal for water resources
management Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) of Karnali State in Dailekh,
Surkhet, Kalikot, Jajarkot districts and Sudur Pashchim State in Achham
district. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizen for the
following position:
Position: Technical Officer-WASH (Only
for Women)
Duty station: IWRM program Office, Surkhet (about 60% of the time in the field)
Duration: One year with the possibility of extension
Job Purpose
- Provide technical input for survey, design,
implementation, and monitoring of WASH schemes
- Supervision of WASH schemes and ensure the
quality of construction work
Required Education, Experience and
Social competence:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a
minimum of two years of working experience in the development sector, at
least one year in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. Commitment
towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
